Rehearsals are at the Gardener's Rest, Neepsend Lane, Sheffield. The pub is very quiet at noon on Sundays and the landlady and landlord Pat and Eddie kindly let us use the conservatory at the back of the pub. It's light and airy and looks out over the river Don. It's a very pleasant place to be, with a relaxed atmosphere that means you won't feel like you're at school!

It also means parents can sit and have a cup of coffee and read the Sunday papers for an hour in one of Sheffield's friendliest real ale pubs. When the weather's good, parents can even sit by the river just outside.

How to get to the Gardener's Rest

You'll find the Gardener's Rest at 105 Neepsend Lane. Neepsend Lane is approximately parallel to Penistone Road and it's on the route to the Ski Village, near the old Stones Brewery. You can see where it is on this Sheffield street map.

For those driving north on Penistone Road A61, turn right onto Rutland Road B6070 (follow the brown Ski Village signs) go past the DIY store on the right. Just over the river, turn immediately left at the traffic lights onto Neepsend Lane (still follow signs to Ski Village). The Gardener's is on your left hand side after about 100 yards. There is on-street parking. Go through the bar on the right of the pub, you'll find us in the conservatory at the back, say hi to Pat on the way!
