Archive 2002

This page lists details of -mainly- one-off folk arts events which took place in the South Riding region during 2002, whether organised by the SRFN or notified to us by our friends and associates. It is a selection only; there were far more events which weren't listed here because the organisers didn't ask us to, or because, as regular events, we listed them in the SRFN web-directory, which includes a comprehensive calendar of regular events featuring e.g. sessions and folk clubs. If you are organising an event, or know of one that may be of interest, please send details to events@folk-network.com.

Free Entry for Volunteers (SRFN events only)

There's always a lot of work to be done getting events and publications organised, and SRFN members can help maintain the high reputation of our events by helping out on the day or participating in our monthly Executive meetings. Most of your Newsletters include details of events (i.e. jobs) that need sorting out, together with contact details to help you get in touch with the relevant organisers. Any time you can spare would be really appreciated. We regularly need stewards and staff for the SRFN stall, and occasionally need people to help lead sessions and similar activities. You won't be expected to work throughout the event, and you'll normally receive a complimentary ticket to let you enjoy the rest of the event during your off-duty time.
