Christmas Day, 7.00 pm onwards around the village, starting on the 'Housely' road. For detailed information, and access to a full library of recordings and publications, you can contact Village Carols, a non-profit organisation that exists to promote and record these carols. Village Carols publishes a number of excellent recordings from different carol traditions, and a selection of arrangements of tunes and words. They also organise a biennial festival: this year's is on 30 November at Grenoside Community Centre, but has unfortunately been sold out for some time. Video films of previous festivals, including the special Millennium Festival at the Cutlers Hall, Sheffield, have been made by Garland Films in association with Village Carols, and are also available.
There is an indoor sing on Saturday 14 December, 4.00 - 6.00 in the Village Hall. Visitors are welcome to both occasions.
